Started reading these later in the year but enjoyed them immensely. I really hope you return to it soon! Curious as to why you see this 'short' form as something to avoid? Its longer form than most of the media we all consume today.
Thanks so much, Lee! I guess with a longer form, one can go deeper, perhaps allude to what others have said on the subject. My posts here usually run 600-700 words, though today's is longer. Where do you read shorter pieces, beyond social media?
Other Blogs/Substacks, Magazines, (and yes, social media)! I certainly aspire to read more books, but I confess that longer magazine pieces and short stories are often the best I can do these days.
I think our attention spans are shrinking . . . but novel sales continue to rise! Try listening to novels. I certainly don't have the patience for most podcasts (they are all too long!) but fiction still grips me.
I believe I did read it and your book on your marijuana smoking. I know of your healthy and stimulating relationship with Mark so I’m really looking forward to this next one. Miss seeing you guys at the dances but I don’t seem to have the same social ease these days. After currently getting over this terrible Covid virus for the first time, I’m likely headed more inward continuing to emerge myself in my own creative endeavors. I’d write more but not sure if this is public. Peace, Patricia
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your substack! It’s so optimistic to find the pleasure in so many ideas and activities... I loved seeing what you’d come up with next! Thanks for the inspiration!
I’ll miss your posts but look forward to your book. Thank you. Patricia
Thank you, Patricia, for letting me know. Have you read my novel, Cybill Unbound?

Thank you, Catherine, for giving me the pleasure of reading your regular postings of pleasure principles. Happy Holiday Season.
And thank you, Francis, for being an attentive reader! I'm so glad to bring pleasure!
Happy Holidays to all.
Thank you Cathy. Though I don't often comment I have very much enjoyed your posts. Hope you'll get back to it sometime next year!
Great to hear it! I surely will be back.
