I put my cashmere in the wash on that oxymoron setting: "hand washables." Then on the clothes rack to dry.

I volunteer and also shop at a local charity shop that gets amazing clothing, including name brands and items stilled tagged, never worn.This gives me the pleasure of regularly updating (and re-donating) my wardrobe without a great deal of expense or guilt. Win-win as far as I am concerned.

Love this concept and its execution, although I've given up cashmere and anything else that has to be dry-cleaned. I'm 100% machine-washable now, and I love it! Even some ball gowns are made from washable fabrics, and if I ever get invited to a ball I'll wear one :)
